Resolved Question: Donate new and used stuffed animals in my area…Northwest Florida…?
Hi.I live in northwest Florida.I’m moving to a much smaller place and am trying to find something good to do with my stuffed animal collection.Right now it is a few hundred animals.It is about 1/2 and 1/2 on new and used conditions.Even the used ones are like new condition though.I am trying to see if anyone knows a good place to take them too.Below is what type of place I am looking for.If you know any like it please let me know.Thanks.
-I do not want to take them to our local goodwills/red cross/waterfronts/anything like that because they throw out most of the ones they get (even if new or newer) because they do not sell very well around here.
-I do not want to give them to anywhere that will sell them.I want them to be given away completely free to people who need them.
-I have been in contact with some of our local hospitals and they only take new ones but they do not take very many,if any.
-I have also tried a few places like fire houses and police stations and alot in this area do not accept any.
-I have also talked to a few shelter for families,kids,abuse,etc…but there are not many in my area and most only take new,if any.
-I have also tried the following websites but have not had any luck eihter due to them only accepting new stuffed animals or them being too far away to donate to and I do not have the money to pay to ship hundreds of stuffed animals.
