Resolved Question: Do you like this story? What could I work on?Do you think it has enough suspense?Do you like the names?
Okay I’m going to post the story but don’t answer stuff like
“you don’t have very good grammer” ITS A ROUGH DRAFT!
or “There’s no seaweed in a pond” it’s a fiction story there can be anything you want in a pond, it’s a mysterious pond GOSH!!!!! and try to be nice. :) Best person gets 20 points.

Preface

I rang the doorbell to the pale white house. Footsteps echoed inside the house, but nobody came to the door. I faced my mother, she nodded at me and we quickly left, my mom was a realtor and the house we were just at was up for sale because it was said to be deserted, but since there was somebody there, there was no point in selling it. We headed toward our apartment two blocks away. A cold gust of wind blew my hair; I was surprised because it was the middle of July. Suddenly an eerie feeling crept over me, like somebody was following me, I turned around, but there was nothing there. I started walking to catch up with my mom, but it seemed like she was going too fast, I struggled to catch up with her and as we neared my house she just passed it, I followed her, finally she reached the pond near our apartment building she took one deep breath and then jumped in. “MOM!” I cried. I jumped in after her struggling to swim against all of the seaweed, I felt a sharp pain in my right leg and then my left, I swam harder looking hard, I finally dragged myself onto the green grass and lay there in pain. I felt something in my pocket and realized that it was my cell phone I knew it probably broke, but when I flipped it open I saw that it was working perfectly I quickly dialed 911 and told them the whole story. I sat there on the grass looking into the murky waters of the pond. Why did mom want to jump in? She was all happy a few minutes ago about selling that house and my birthday being so near. Why? I can’t believe it. Why would she do this to me? I was pulled out of my trance because I herd the police sirens in the distance, soon 6 police men ran up to me. I had to go to the hospital while my dad was notified at work. The nurse gave me some medicine and I fell asleep.

Chapter 1
Feelings

Every part of my body was numb when I woke up. I was in a dark room, a cellar probably. Nobody was around me, I was alone. I stood up and ran outside the July sunlight streamed through the window, I saw my father watering the plants, since when had we moved? I ran up to him “Hi dad.” I said. He looked at me his face sweaty and his hands covered in dirt. Why was he doing the gardening? Mom usually did that. Dad looked at me glumly “Hi Natasha.” He said.
“Why are you so glum?” I asked him.
“You should be to Natasha.” He said.
“Why?” I asked confused.
“Natasha, you probably won’t remember because of the medicine you were given, but for some reason your mother jumped into the pond by our house, you were there when she did it. You tried to save her but something bit you… really bit you when the police saw you your legs were bleeding like crazy, you lost a lot of blood.” He said.
“Dad I thought that was all a horrible dream. Where’s mom now?” I asked.
“The police can’t find her they’re afraid to go into that pond because of the things that bit you.” He said.
I held back tears. “Why did we move?” I asked.
“They took down all of the houses there, it’s not safe there anymore honey this isn’t the first strange thing that has happened.” He said.
“What else happened?” I asked.
He handed me a clip from a newspaper article I read it carefully:

Two weeks ago realtor Belinda Scott mother of Natasha Smith jumped into the pond by the house. The only witness was the daughter who is in the hospital with horrible conditions, the body of Belinda will not be found, for the police are worried that the things in the pond can harm everybody. The houses in the complex where Belinda lived were taken down and the people there were moved to a new safe complex for free. The people of the complex say that this isn’t the first strange thing that has happened in 1879 when the complex was built a young women named Isabelle McKenzie moved into a pale white house at the end of the street. She made the house so pretty that a person was bound to stop there at least once a day to have tea with her on the front patio. She lived there until the 1900’s, but then she became quite ill, she had to temporarily move out and rent the house to a college student named Vanessa Boa Vista. In 1905 the doctors found that Isabelle had tuberculosis. It was, unexpected because Isabelle grew up where the air was extremely fresh. She stayed in the hospital until 1912 then the doctors said she was well enough t start living a normal life. Isabelle returned to find that the college student had moved out 3 years ago. She could not fix up the house from its horrible condition because she was 52 and still weak and thin. She lived in that house until she was 72 until one night by the fire a voice in her head told her to stand up and go to the hospital, when she g

Resolved Question: do you like my story?i still have some work to do on it.i’m only 11 years old. and give me some advice too.?
The New Girl In Town
Chapter One: The Big Step

“MOM! The computer broke again!” Jessica’s mom came marching into the room.
“ Jessica! What do you even do on that computer? Something important I hope?” said Jessica’s mom in a stern voice. “Actually yes mom, I’m doing my homework” said Jessica in a smart aleck voice.
“ Oh, then in that case go and get your father”
“Ok”, said Jessica. “DAD! The computer broke again!”
“ Not like that! Go and get him yourself.”
Jessica went up to her room to get her dad who was painting her room. Jessica’s family a.k.a her mom, dad, and her 15 year old sister were getting ready to put their house up for sale. Her parents said that they would have a better chance to sell there house, if they painted her room a beige instead of a leaving it dark blue, seriously, what did the dark blue ever do to them? They could at least leave it in its blueness, and if no one bought it in like one or two month’s then they could paint it beige. I mean if a family who had a little girl, who were going to buy the house but then they did not because the little girl wanted a dark blue room instead of a beige room, then they wished they had listened to Jessica! Any way, back to the story. So as Jessica entered her room, she saw her dad with paint on his face and rolling his roller up and down.
“Dad, the computer broke again,” said Jessica.
“Jess, didn’t I tell you how to fix it twice already?
“ Ya, but it is just too confusing.”grouched Jessica.
“Alright then, I’ll be down in two minutes.”
“Ok.” Jessica went down stairs and stared at the computer screen.” I can not wait to move” she thought. Jessica did not have a close friend at school. You know, the kind they talk about in books. Jessica was an ordinarie girl. Wavy dark brown hair, blue eyes ect. She had always wanted to have a best friend at school. Her family was planning to move to a little town named Frindle Falls which was an 1 hour and a half away, (The name of the place is very strange considering the have no water falls whatsoever.) so she could make a fresh start.
“ Ok, I’m down” said Jessica’s father. “So remember, first you press this then double click that and…… voila! good as new.” “Thanks dad!”
“Supper will be ready in 5 minutes!” cried Jessica’s mom.
“Oh, I better hurry up if I want to finish the first coat” said Jessica’s father. “Ok dad.”

“Jessica, will you help set the table?” asked Jessica’s mom, which really meant she was telling Jessica to set the table. Jessica wobbled over to the pantry where their family kept the dishes.
“Bowls or plates?” asked Jessica.
“Doesn’t matter, we’re having spaghetti.” answerd Jessica’s mom.
“Does mine have sauce?” Jessica loved spaghetti but she hated the sauce, she just liked the noodles and grated cheese. Jessica was the pickiest eater in the world when it came to food. If anyone was any picker than her they’d be sick and in the hospital.
“Yes,” said Jessica’s mom.
“REALLY?!” cried Jessica.
“No, of course not. But you should really try it, you’d be surprised.”
“No, I’m fine.”
“Okay but I’m just telling you on what your missing out on.” Jessica started to set the table.

Everyone was at the dinner table except Sara, Jessica’s sister.
“Jessie, will you go get Sara?” asked Jessica’s mom.
“Sure.” Jessica went to her sister’s room to find her listening to her iPod. “Mom says to come down for dinner” said Jessica. But she kept on listening to her music.” MOM SAYS TO COME DOWN FOR DINNER!!”
“ Gosh, you don’t have to yell” said Sara, then she went down stairs. Jessie stood there for a minute then she went down stairs too.
When everyone was seated, Mrs. Finch (their family’s last name) said “I have an announcement to make” she cleared her throat “ We put our house up for sale today.”
Then Jessie suddenly said “That is great!”
“I’m glad you think so honey” said Mrs.Finch. “Now, I know this is a big step for us all. So over the next few weeks I’m going to need all your full cooperation. Sara, that means that you have to clean your room and do your bed every day.” said Mrs. Sparks
“ Awwww”grouched Sara.

* * *

The next day, Jessica woke up to a sound of muffled voices on her alarm clock radio. She sat up in bed, stretched her arms and got out of bed. She went to the bathroom and brushed her hair and teeth. She went to the window and noticed the for sale sign in their front yard. She said a slight “Yes!” to herself and walked over to her dresser to get dressed. Then she looked over at her calendar. It was the sixth. Her eleventh birthday was on the twenty sixth. She could barely wait! She went downstairs and found her mom at the kitchen table in her work clothes ready to go to work. Her mom worked as a secretary at the hospital. Jessica sat
