Voting Question: Please Help! I need to find a house in Florida DIRECTLY on the beach!?
I need to find a house in florida directly on the beach for under 500k. The cheaper the better. 2br 2b minimum, no more than a block away from the ocean, anywhere in florida, location doesnt matter. NO CONDOS, preferably unless you happen to know a very nice one. Realtor.com has an option to only show waterfront properties but it mostly shows properties on lakes, ugh. Searching for something this specific is a pain, any quicker ideas or links to properties?
Resolved Question: Can someone help me with some “wow” factor in Seattle?
My sister is coming to Seattle and I am looking to really wow her while she is here. She lives on the beach in Florida so she pretty much thinks Seattle sucks and mostly hates the weather and thinks everything is very expensive here. Can someone give me a cool itinerary out to impress? Starting from afternoon into evening? Not Neighbors or the waterfront or San Juans but cool local places that I may not know of since I actually live on the east side. We are in our late 30’s and pretty much like ALL types of food and music (she likes some jazz - I don’t) we have pretty good size pocket books but being that she lives in Florida she is used to getting everything for cheap. We love asian food, we are meat eaters, we love trendy drinks and my sister has traveled all over the world. I need a planned day out. Oh and a great coffee house too! She will be here in late June.
She has seen the troll, space needle, waterfront, san juans, etc…. I am talking more about restaurants, lounges, bars, coffee houses, cool shops. I know all the landmarks because I live here.

I’m taking a girl to dinner and a movie, on a double date. We’ve been friends for a while, but I really like her. This girl dates guys semi-often, so she probably doesn’t think too much of dates typically.
Do girls typically like going to more or less expensive places on dates?
(fyi: college age - she knows I’m not rich! However, I’m not worried about the money)
Which do you think would be a better restaurant style?
- Low key Italian - can share a fancy pizza or go w/ other italian food (cheapest)
- Steak house - (she’s a small girl w/ a big appetite!)
- Waterfront restaurant w/ seafood/steak - (may be x-max boats on waterfront soon!) - kind of expensive
