Resolved Question: Opinions wanted on Canyon Lake Texas?
Thinking of buying a house in Canyon Lake with a water view (not waterfront) and a boat ramp less than 1/4 mile away. House is on Amanda Street for those familiar with the area. I would like to rent it for short terms (weekends, week) and eventually move there. The house is selling for about $106 a sq. foot. with a .40 acre lot. Anyone have an opinion on renting in this area or opinions on the pros and cons of living there? All comments appreciated.

Resolved Question: Can anyone in Texas recommend a good community with waterfront lots to build a house on?
Am looking for a waterfront building site for a house. Would prefer a homeowner’s association/community with no mobile homes, and one that is relatively new. Would also like to be no more than an hour to hour and half from large city, say, Dallas, Houston or Austin. Would appreciate any information so I could do more research for a place. Thank you!
